My dissertation at university explored how children can engage with protest art. I taught protest art workshops at Bankside Primary school for three days, encouraging the children to see art as a means of resistance and expression not just aesthetics. This experience and body of research ignited my passion and understanding of visual art as a means of self expression, therapeutic practice and activism.
